From the inbox: Free PAX trainings available across Kansas!

Through support from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), PAX training is available at no cost across Kansas schools and communities. Educators, caregivers, and youth-serving professionals gain immediate, practical tools to strengthen environments and reduce behavioral challenges. Long term, this statewide effort promotes healthier youth development, stronger families, and more resilient communities.

Community-Based PAX Tools Training

PAX Tools is an evidence-based collection of simple, trauma-informed strategies that caregivers and professionals can use immediately to reduce conflict, strengthen relationships, and increase cooperation in homes and community settings. By integrating g these tools into their normal interactions with youth, adults create environments that support the development and strengthening of youth self-regulation. Long term, youth experience improved resilience, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.

School-Based PAX Good Behavior Game (PAX GBG) Training

PAX GBG is a proven, classroom-based set of strategies teachers can implement right away to improve attention, reduce disruptions, and increase engaged learning time. Students learn lifelong self-management skills through positive, collaborative classroom routines. Long term, participation in PAX GBG is associated with reduced substance use, better mental health, stronger academic outcomes, and improved success into adulthood.

Statewide virtual trainings are available on the PAX Trainings for Kansas event page. Organizations also have the option to schedule a dedicated training for their staff, volunteers, or caregivers. Both virtual and in-person formats are available.
