Kansas faces an urgent need to protect and expand Medicaid, and this event offers a creative way for Kansans to unite and raise their voices through art.
Featuring Haysville artist Malissa Long, participants will engage in a hands-on textile art project designed to highlight the gaps in health care access in Kansas communities. The final collaborative artwork will serve as a symbol of the need for grassroots advocacy to transform our state into a place where all Kansans have access to affordable health care when they need it.
Each participant will contribute to the collective work and also create a smaller piece to take home. This family-friendly event welcomes all ages and skill levels – no artistic experience necessary!
RSVPs are appreciated so we can ensure enough supplies for everyone.
